LAWRENCE, KS (MARCH 31, 2017) – Entrematic, manufacturer of Amarr garage doors, will expand its Kansas production operations and warehouse space into Shawnee.  The company has leased approximately 70,000 square feet of space in the WestLink Business Center and will produce several models of Amarr garage doors and assemble hardware there.  Entrematic also has existing garage door manufacturing operations in Lawrence and in North Carolina.

“With a steadily growing demand for garage doors, we recognized the need additional production and assembly space and began a site search last fall,” John Romero, VP of Production for Entrematic said. “The WestLink Business Center in Shawnee emerged as the best site for the expansion for a number of reasons and especially because of its close proximity to our plant in Lawrence.”

“We have been warmly welcomed by City of Shawnee officials and people throughout the community,” Romero added.  “Our production and assembly facility in the WestLink Business Center is expected to open in April and will employee approximately 60 people when at full operational capacity.  We’re thrilled with the opportunity to become part of the business community in Shawnee.”

The Lawrence plant opened in 1989.  It started as a 120,000 sq ft facility with 50 employees.  Today, the plant is approximately 400,000 sq ft and employees 800 people.  We manufacture several types of garage doors, including the Amarr Classica, Stratford, Heritage, Vista, and Commercial doors.
